Missed-call text-back from the number you already have.
Connect your RingCentral account and every missed call gets a text back in seconds, sent from a number already on your RingCentral account. No new number, no porting, no forwarding. Your customers hear back from the business they called.

The short version
Most text-back tools hand you a new number and hope customers trust it. We text from your RingCentral number instead, so the reply comes from the line on your truck, your website, and your Google listing.
How it works in the app
Connected in about five minutes.
01
Sign in with RingCentral
In the app, open Setup and choose RingCentral. You sign in on RingCentral's own page and approve access. We never see your RingCentral password.
02
Pick your numbers
We pull the numbers on your RingCentral account. Choose which lines to watch for calls and which number texts go out from: your main company line, a direct line, or a dedicated sales number.
03
Write the text-back
Turn on missed-call text-back and write the message in your own words. Your business name and the caller's first name fill in automatically.
04
Done. Nothing changes for your crew.
Calls still ring the same phones and desk apps. When one goes unanswered, the caller gets your text within seconds, and the conversation shows up in your Contractor Systems inbox.
What's connected
More than a text-back.
Once RingCentral is connected, your calls and texts live on the customer record with everything else: the lead source, the estimate, the job photos, and the review.
- ✓Missed calls on every watched line trigger a text-back in seconds
- ✓At most one text-back per caller per day, so repeat callers aren't spammed
- ✓Customers who reply STOP are marked do-not-text and never get another automatic message
- ✓Calls, voicemails, and texts on the customer's record with the rest of the job
- ✓Inbox replies and review requests go out from the same RingCentral number
- ✓Admin connections log calls on every line, not just one extension
- ✓Picture messages supported for photos and review requests
- ✓Disconnect any time from Setup. Your RingCentral account is untouched.
Using your RingCentral number vs. a new one
The pros far outweigh the cons.
We'd rather tell you the tradeoffs up front. Here's what you get by texting from your existing RingCentral number, and the few things to know.
Pros
No new number to explain
The text comes from the number the customer just called. They recognize it, they reply, and they save it. A text from a random number looks like spam and often gets ignored.
Nothing to port or forward
Your numbers stay on RingCentral, on your plan, under your control. No porting paperwork, no call-forwarding chain, and nothing to undo if you ever leave.
Any number on the account
Text from your main company line, a second-location number, or a tracking line. Each number you pick can be watched for missed calls.
One conversation, two places
Replies land in the Contractor Systems inbox on the customer's record and stay in your RingCentral message history. Your office can answer from either one.
Your reputation stays on your number
Years of calls and Google listings point at your existing number. Keeping texts on it means customers, carriers, and Google all see one consistent business line.
Every call becomes a customer
Unknown callers are created as new contacts automatically, with the call, the text-back, and every reply on one timeline.
Worth knowing
Texting has to be turned on in RingCentral
Carriers require business texting registration (10DLC for local numbers, verification for toll-free). If your RingCentral account isn't registered yet, we walk you through it during setup. Most shops already are.
Texts count against your RingCentral plan
Messages go out through your RingCentral account, so they use your plan's included texts. Missed-call text-backs are a small volume, and we only send one per caller per day.
Your main number needs the right login
RingCentral only lets the Operator Extension text from the main company number. To text from it, connect while signed in as that user (usually extension 101). We help with this on the setup call.
Questions
RingCentral, answered.
Do I need a new phone number?+
No. That's the point of this integration. Missed-call text-backs, inbox replies, and review requests go out from a number you already have on RingCentral. Customers never see a second number.
Which numbers can I text from?+
Any SMS-enabled number on your RingCentral account that the connected user is allowed to text from. That includes direct lines and, when you connect as the Operator Extension, your main company number. If you connect as a RingCentral admin, you can also watch every other line on the account for missed calls.
Will my phones ring any differently?+
No. Call routing, ring groups, IVR menus, and voicemail stay exactly as they are in RingCentral. We listen for calls that went unanswered and respond with a text. We don't sit in the middle of your calls.
What does the text-back say?+
Whatever you want it to. You write it in the app and can change it any time. {business} fills in your company name and {name} fills in the caller's first name when we know it. Most contractors keep it short: who you are, that you're on a job, and a question to start the conversation.
Where do replies go?+
Into the customer's conversation in the Contractor Systems inbox on the web and iPhone app, where you or your office can answer. The texts are also in your RingCentral message history, because they went through your RingCentral account.
What about texting registration (10DLC)?+
US carriers require businesses to register before texting from local numbers. RingCentral handles registration inside its Admin Portal. If yours isn't done yet, we'll walk through it with you. It's a one-time form, and approval usually takes a few days.
What if I use Dialpad instead?+
Dialpad connects the same way, with missed-call text-back from your Dialpad number. If you don't have a business phone system at all, we provide a number as part of setup.
What happens if I disconnect?+
We remove our webhook from your RingCentral account and stop sending texts. Your numbers, call history, and messages stay in RingCentral. Nothing on the phone system side needs to be undone.
Keep RingCentral. Stop losing missed calls.
Twenty minutes. We'll show the text-back going out from a RingCentral number and landing in the inbox.
