The domain · first captured 17 Feb 2001

We paid $10,000 forcontractorsystems.com.Not a flex, just a reflection of how committed we are to this.

Before it was ours, contractorsystems.com had a few other lives. These are the ones the Wayback Machine still has, starting with that February 2001 placeholder.

  1. 2001

    Under construction

The earliest capture, 17 February 2001, is a placeholder for an earlier Contractor Systems. The name was already spoken for. The website was not ready to show any work.

  2. 2003

    ComputerEase

By December 2003 the domain was ComputerEase, accounting software for contractors. This snapshot is the products page: accounting built in, and a different view for owners, payroll, and the rest of the office.

    Still ComputerEase

A year later it was construction accounting and project management: job cost, payroll, scheduling, and a free demo CD if you asked for one.

    Renovating

Then the site went quiet in the usual way. “We are currently renovating our website to better serve our customers.”

The domain sat, waiting for us.

    Today

Same domain. A different company. Contractor Systems is the website, leads, follow-up, and reviews system for home-service contractors.
